Intex is focused on budget phone to grab the smartphone market share of India. They are now in 4th Position among other Indian phone brand. At the beginning of their journey they have released some featured phone with cheapest price. But quality was average. But for the time being they are now releasing awesome phone with good features and cheapest price. This year 2015 Intex has released some new phone and among them Intex Aqua Star 2 is noticeable with smart features. Their promotional theme was ‘’No matter where you are, keep shining like a star with the brand-new Intex Aqua Star 2 by your side. So loaded, its features and style will surely keep you ahead of the pack’’.
It goes without say that you will be happy to buy a budget phone from Intex. Among various Chinese branded phone Intex is in excel position. In this review I will discuss about Intex Aqua Star 2 Smartphone.
DESIGN
In Intex Aqua Star 2 you will get a new stylish design. And this handset is very thin and slim. Intex Aqua Star 2 comes with 5.0 inch which is accurate 12.7 cm FWVGA, IPS, FL Display. Though this phone is look like iPhone but by mix match it has created a unique design. Its big 5.0 inch body can be comfortably grip on your palm. Volume rocker and power up button has set at the right edge of the phone. Fortunately speaker has integrated at the bottom side of the phone instead of backside. As a result you can easily hear the clear sound.
DISPLAY
Intex Aqua Star 2 got good display with comfortable view. You will find a high quality Vivid Display with 854 x 480 pixels resolution. Though display Type FWVGA, IPS but you will get bright and sharp display. in the screen 12.7 cm (5.0 Inch) display output color is 262K to give best viewing experience for exceptional rich image quality.
PROCESSOR AND MEMORY
The Intex Aqua Star 2 rich on features within budget price and it is equipped with a Quad-Core 1.2 GHz processor and Integrated Chipset SC7731 which paired with 1GB of RAM.
You don’t have to worry about storage because 8 GB of internal Storage included with this device. But if you are thinking for expend the memory then you can expend the memory up to 32 GB by an external memory card. But Intex is giving 16 GB external memory card with this device.
CAMERA, IMAGE QUALITY AND VIDEO QUALITY
Intex Aqua Star 2 Smartphone integrated a 8.0 MP (AF) with LED flash featured rare camera. Rare camera’s main features are Panorama Shot, face beauty, live photo mode, Smile Shot, HDR, voice capture, face detection, Selfie by BT and Earphone. In addition a 5MP front camera has integrated for which will help you to take clear selfies. But you must take picture on good condition where lights are available. In night time snap will be disappointing. Because it will seems to you like VGA camera.
In Intex Aqua Star 2 video quality is very good, don’t have to worry for budget minded Smartphone. But Full HD video can be play and capture on this device.
FIRMWARE UPDATE
Intex Aqua Star 2 Smartphone running Android v4.4.2 (KitKat) with customized UI specially created for Intex device. Its new UI has tailored to bring up savings on your battery power and faster performance. It goes without say that it has Firmware Update options for receiving further updates from Android. You can update latest software through wireless when the update is available. An OTA (Over the Air) update allow this device to run smoother and more efficiently. But Intex didn’t promise to give Android Lollipop update. Recently from XDA forum a custom firmware has release with Android Lollipop but unofficial firmware should not use for your phone safety.
INTERNET AND CONNECTIVITY
You can connect with this device on 3G network, WALN, HSDPA/HSUPA/ EDGE /GPRS / WAP etc. In case of Tethering & Portable Hotstop you can connect through Wi-Fi / Bluetooth /USB. Micro USB v2 you can connect your device with a PC or Laptop. In this device, a Micro 5 Pin port and Bluetooth v4.0 integrated for connecting with other device. So now you don’t have any restriction to get connected with Internet and other devices simultaneously.
MULTIMEDIA
You can download and enjoying unlimited Games and App from Google Play store. You will get 1080p Full HD Video playback on this device. Video Supported Format MP4 / AVI. Beside of this sound quality of audio playback is average. But if you use good quality headphone then sound quality will be good. Audio Formats Supported MP3 / WMA / MIDI / AMR / AAC /AAC+. Intex Aqua Star 2 has FM radio.
BATTERY
In this device Battery power is really disappointing. Intex Aqua Star 2 powered by only 2000 mAh Li-ion removable battery. From my point of view more powerful battery should be integrate for working longer time on this device. And in most of the cases power drain too early. But in Bangladesh some Intex dealer selling this Smartphone with a free 4000 mAh power bank. So by considering this battery power problem can be solved.
CONCLUSION
In terms of budget phone this is really good for potential buyers. Because you will get many updated feature with this phone. In addition you will get 3G supported Smartphone within reasonable price. It has some other features like Auto Call Record, FM recording, LED flash, FM Radio and music, Clear motion, smart gesture. As well as you will get some preloaded Apps like Intex Play, Intex zone, Opera mini, Zapak, OLX,intex care, Paytm,Askme,myntra,hungama,, Newshunt, Flipkart.
As for pricing Intex Aqua Star 2 is affordable price tag of only BDT 9699, RS 7,444 or about $115.
